# GL Couplings
Gates GL low pressure couplings has been specifically designed with a pre-crimped soft shell to work with lower pressure hydraulic suction lines and low pressure return line hose. Special GL dies required.
– Designed for larger-diameter hoses – up to 4 in. I.D.
– Short body length provides the necessary grip for low pressure hose requirements.
– Barrel pattern crimp design ensures optimal sealing to helical wire hoses on return vacuum applications.
## Features and Benefits
– The GL coupling range kicks off where the GSP range stops: starting at an internal diameter of -40 (2-1/2″) up to -64 (4″).
– Handles the low pressure performance needs of the hose, but with a smaller, light weight coupling.
– Coated with TuffCoat™ plating – more than five times better corrosion resistance than SAE ASTMB117 specification.
